Anwendung

Estracyt® wird zur Behandlung von Prostatakrebs eingesetzt.


Dosierung

Erhältlich als Kapseln.

  • In der Regel 2-3 Kapseln (280-420 mg) zweimal täglich, mindestens 1 Stunde vor oder frühestens 2 Stunden nach einer Mahlzeit.

Hinweis: Die Kapseln sollten als Ganzes geschluckt werden.

Durchfall, schlecht funktionierende Leber, Übelkeit, Erbrechen

Herzversagen, Flüssigkeitsansammlung im Körper

Blutmangel, erhöhtes Infektionsrisiko durch Mangel an weißen Blutkörperchen

Lass es nicht fallen. Der Spender muss vom Spenderdorf gemeldet werden.

Wirkung

  • Funktioniert unter anderem durch Inaktivierung von DNA (zellgenetischer Code). Dies bedeutet, dass die Zellteilung inhibiert wird, sowie auf die genetische Funktion und damit die Steuerung der Reaktionszelle zerstört.
  • Das Zellabtötungsmittel ist chemisch an Östrogen gebunden, und dies soll die Aufnahme des Mittels in die Prostata erleichtern.
  • Die Halbwertszeit im Blut (T½) ist ungefähr 14 Stunden.

Spezielle Warnungen

Mit Vorsicht in

  • schlecht funktionierendes Knochenmark
  • Lebererkrankungen
  • schlecht funktionierende Nieren
  • bestimmte Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen.

Das Medikament darf nicht gleichzeitig mit Milchprodukten oder anderen kalziumhaltigen Lebensmitteln eingenommen werden.

Es ist wichtig, dass Sie Ihren Arzt über alle Arzneimittel informieren, die Sie einnehmen.
  • Clodronat (Antidot gegen überschüssiges Kalzium im Blut) erhöht die Wirkung von Estracyt®.
  • Vitaminpräparate und Säureneutralisationsmittel reduzieren die Wirkung von Estracyt®.
  • Estracyt® erhöht die Wirkungen und Nebenwirkungen trizyklischer Antidepressiva.
