Abraxane wird verwendet, um zu behandeln:
- Brustkrebs, wo der Krebs sich ausgebreitet hat
- Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs, wo der Krebs verbreitet hat
- Lungenkrebs
Nur in Krankenhäusern verwendet.
Dosierung
Erhältlich als Pulver zur Herstellung einer Infusionslösung, das nach Rekonstitution in einer Vene verabreicht wird.
- Die Behandlung ist individuell und zugeschnitten auf die Wirkung, teilweise auf den Grad und das Ausmaß der Nebenwirkungen.
Mögliche Nebenwirkungen
Sehr häufig (über 10%) | Fieber, Ohnmacht, Appetitlosigkeit, Müdigkeit Durchfall, Verstopfung, Übelkeit, Otitis, Erbrechen Anämie, Wirkung von Knochenmark Blutzellen, erhöhtes Risiko von Infektionen. Spezielle Warnungen
- Abraxane wird anders als die anderen Präparate mit Paclitaxel hergestellt. In Abraxane ist die Zutat Paclitaxel Nanopartikel, die an ein Trägermolekül gekoppelt sind (Albumin), die in Kontakt mit Krebszellen zielgerichteteren Paclitaxel bringt.
- Das Medikament sollte mit Vorsicht in schlecht funktionierender Leber verwendet werden.
